Op 6 mei 2011 vindt de International Blowing Bubbles Day plaats.
Over de wereld zullen er op verschillende plaatsen door verschillende mensen bellen geblazen worden vanuit verschillende motieven. Er ontstaat zo een tijdelijk en monumentaal wereldomvattend kunstwerk dat slechts uit gedeelde emotie en gedeelde beleving van schoonheid bestaat. De voorbereidingen en inspiraties worden tentoongesteld op 7 en 8 mei in "De Dorpsschuur" in Lent. Oosterhoutsedijk 29, 6663 KS Lent.

"On May 6, 2011 the International Blowing Bubbles Day will take place. Initiator of this art event is the Duth artist and art therapist Flip Looyen. On this day the whole world shall be surrounded by soap bubbles of all kinds and in this way there will be made one artwork where one can be a part of.
At many places and on several grounds there will be blown soap bubbles. For magic and fun, grieve and happiness, short term and lasting memories, individual and feeling part of the world community. If a butterfly can influence the world, what could happen when everybody is blowing bubbles at the same time? Join in, be part of this event and send a discription of your activities to us. It could be that you blow bubbles in the memory of someone, world peace or maybe for another personal reason. Everyone can join in, on one's balcony, boat, and garden, in the woods or in the street... Together with others or on your own. Feel welcome, free and light.
